Depends: Macroprolactin is inactive and is of no concern. However, unless it is separated properly from regular prolactin, you can not be sure that there is not a pituitary problem. If you have any symptoms, you will need a work up to be sure there is not a pituitary problem in addition to the macroprolactin.
