Depends on 3 things: Your chances depend mainly on 1) how your tubes were tied (electrocautery does more damage than clips or rings) & how much tube is left - if the 'fingers' at the ends of the tubes are gone your chances are low. 2) your egg numbers (ovarian reserve) and 3) your partner's sperm count & quality. See a board-certified rei specialist who does both surgical tubal reversals and ivf for testing and advice.

IVF best chance.: Don't waste your money and put yourself at risk with microsurgery and repeat laparotomy to reverse your tubal! go straight to an reproductive endocrinologist/infertility specialist to proceed with in vitro fertilization - that is your best bet to get pregnancy and take a healthy baby home. Your chances should be ~15% each cycle of ivf at your age (lower with tube reversal - and ectopics loom).

Ok: Success of a tubal reversal depends on three things: age of the patient and at 39 you are still ok, skill of the surgeon and length of tubal segments remaining. In my experience, the "bands" are the easiest to reverse and give you the best success rates. Ivf is also an option but generally is more expensive. It is a choice. Good luck.
