Options: There is no cure for hidradenitis suppurativa but early treatment can help. Treatment options include washings with antibiotic soap, warm compresses, or medications (antibiotics, steroids or immunisuppressant drugs, non-steroidal inflammatory meds, oral retinoid medications, tumor necrosis factor Alpha inhibitors) and in severe cases, surgery.

Hidradenitis suppura: This is a very difficult chronic condition. The most effective way to treat this problem is surgical excision of the areas involved, particularly early in the course of the disease. Systemic antibiotics such as Doxycycline also have some effectiveness, but the benefits are usually modest at best. Also, stop smoking and lose weight, both of which are associated with hs.
