My husband is experiencing a heaviness in his neck/ throat. i'm not sure if this is associated with this feeling but he's also complaining of being dizzy upon standing. could this be an allergic reaction?

Could be. Is it now?: If these symptoms just started a few moments ago he could be having anaphylaxis. Throat heaviness could be swelling of the vocal cords called laryngospasm. Dizziness could be low blood pressure. Have your husband lie on back, feet on one pillow. Call 911 or give Epipen (epinephrine) if he has one.
