WHY WOULD YOU?: You can not further inhibit acid supression any more on dexilant (dexlansoprazole). However, the added meds may help reflux a little bit for breakthrough symptoms. It is not unsafe, if that is your question.

I started taking Dexilant (dexlansoprazole) when Nexium stopped relieving my symptoms. I get a sore throat after sleeping. Can I take Pepsid or Zantac at night also.
