Exposure.: Squeamishness is often reduced with more frequent exposure to the things that make you squeamish. I now get squeamish about lots of things that did not bother me when I saw them all the time, inc. vomit and stool, which when I had a kid in diapers or when I worked in the ER, would not bother me much at all. But when not around those things now, I can heave and near swoon like a Regency Miss.
