General Answer: Not sure precisely what this is asking, but all nsaids may be used to reduce inflammation & pain. They interfere with the chemical cascade initiated by injury which can result in pain &/or inflammation. This interference results in a decrease in both symptoms.

Depends on cause: All anti inflammatories have both an anti inflamatory effect as well as a pain relieving effect. Relafen (nabumetone) can help most common types of low back pain as long as you have no stomach issues, liver problems, kidney problems, an Aspirin allergy and you are not on any blood thinners like warfarin.
