Low, but possible: Meningitis (usually meningococcal) occurs sporadically usually in small outbreaks, commonly where there are large numbers of young adults in crowded living areas, like college dorms or army bases. I would recommend the Meningococcal vaccine before college or joining the service (if it isn"t already a requirement).
