A member asked:

Is it possible for a herniated disk to heal itself after 3 cortisone?

8 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

Yes: Recent research has demonstrated that given enough time most disc herniations will resolve with time. Cortisone injections help control the symptoms during this time but have not been shown to increase the chances that the disc will heal.
