A member asked:

I hear that you can't get pregnant while you're on your period?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually not: The menstrual period is when the uterine lining sheds after an egg is not fertilized. Some women may ovulate irregularly and shed a small amount of lining during ovulation, and it is at that time pregnancy can inadvertently occur. She will think that this is her menstrual cycle.
