A member asked:

What is the difference between albuterol and alupent (metaproterenol) for asthma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Similar: Both are medications that are used as bronchodilators -- that is quick acting medications for asthma symptoms. Albuterol is probably the most commonly used. Haven't not seen Alupent (metaproterenol) used fro years.
