Allergies to pineapple, eggs & wine--what is the common denominator?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Your immune system: You have a tendency to develop allergies to foreign proteins in your diet. I am interested in your wine allergy. Reactions to wine are either pharmacologic - the alcohol & other ingredients care drugs that cause nasal congestion or the sulfiting agents in the wine trigger asthma. Wine is often clarified by dropping a raw egg through it. If you are very allergic to egg this could be a denominator.
