Depends: In the baking process the protein structure of an egg may be broken down to the point it does not trigger an allergic reaction. Products like icing or whipped egg whites as a pie topping would not fall in this category. Not all egg allergy is created equal. Some just break out in a rash & some can have abdominal pain, difficulty breathing & may go into shock. I don't take chances if a big reaction.

Perhaps: In certain instances, someone with an egg allergy can eat baked egg as the cooking process denatures the protein further to sometimes not cause symptoms consistent with an allergy. Some patients are able to tolerate baked egg and some are not. Prior to making any changes to the diet, consultation with a board-certified allergist is recommended.

Depends: Some patients will only react to scrambled eggs while tolerating eggs in baked goods. When the egg allergen is baked, it changes the nature of the allergen. Some children with egg allergy need to avoid all egg products. There is a blood test to help determine which kids may tolerate baked eggs but history and an in office food challenge by an allergy office is the best way to evaluate this.
