Nope: With our newer high resolution machines, sometimes gender is seen as early as 12 weeks. By 18-20 weeks most machines can see gender providing the baby is accommodating. You can't see what the baby won't show you!

Not too early: Now is just about the right time. By 17 weeks, a good ultrasound should be able to determine the baby's gender. Usually, i schedule the ultrasound closer to 20 weeks to allow time for all of the organs to be fully formed so the answer will be very clear. Earlier than that, it is still possible that it will be too early to tell.

Nope: A comprehensive u/s is normally performed between 18 and 22 wks but sometimes the genitals can be seen earlier.
