Lord Yes!: I should have you meet my 15 year old. Hormone imbalance can occur at any age. It's more of a problem in younger women with fluctuating levels of hormones. This is why many sx are common a week or 2 prior to your menstrual cycle. Some women have such a difficult transition that they require ocps not for birth control, but to stabilize hormone levels, making it much easier to adapt & be happy -ish.

Yes: Our endocrine organs, like the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal glands, ovaries, testicles etc, are subject to illness at all ages. Some are even guaranteed to occur such as estrogen lack in women after the change of life (menopause). Most are fairly easily diagnosed by primary care doctors and specialists are usually available for the difficult cases.
