Sounds OK: Any new hormonal birth control can cause irregular bleeding with initial use. The trick is to be persistent, use the NuvaRing as directed, and eventually you should see normal cycles again. Hopefully shorter and lighter too. Remember to use back-up birth control (condoms) for the first cycle to ensure adequate coverage. If abnl bleeding persists, call your gyn.
