You need to see spec: Specialist, everyone is different and your treatment needs to be made for you so you should see a sub- specialist and not your regular obgyn.

Depends: A recent nih sponsored clinical trial recommends that most couples with unexplained infertility will do well with 3 cycles of clomid/iui followed by ivf if the Clomid (clomiphene) does not work. This must be individualized to your particular situationl the first step is a thorough evaluation with a reproductive endocrinologist. Best of luck to you!

Rarely 'unexplained': We used to think 15-20% of infertility was 'unexplained' (regular cycles, open tubes, good sperm) - with modern testing it's under 1%. Ovarian reserve testing (ultrasound for ovarian volumes and antral follicle count, amh, Clomid (clomiphene) challenge test) 'explains' a lot but there are other possible factors. See board-certified reproductive endocrinologist for workup & treatment choices: inseminations, ivf.
