Do your work: Different jobs have different tasks. Some are very solitary, and others require teamwork. If you're new to a company, it can take some time to get acquainted with your co-workers. Do your work well, and be professional -- but also take opportunity to be friendly to others on breaks & at lunch. Notice the interests others have, and share your own too. Friendships can gradually grow in this way.
