Isolation when deaf: Hearing problems do not necessarily have to cause a person to feel lonely. After all, if you live long enough, most everybody is in the same boat. Not necessarily: It is depressing losing one of your special senses such as hearing. Elderly are prone to feel lonely due to lack of support from thierry loved ones, or loss of spouse. But if they have a hearing aid, and good support from family members , they should do well.
