Increased Heart Risk: High cholesterol is associated with increased risk of heart disease in men and women. Cholesterol needs to be evaluated in the context of other risk factors such as smoking, age, family history, blood pressure, and other features of the cholesterol profile such as HDL and LDL cholesterol & triglycerides > lifestyle issues, obesity, diet and activity level are important also. See a doctor.
