Was the shot: Goseralin or luprolide? Or is it one shot to do well? Does aggressive mean already outside the prostate, or does it mean high risk by psa score or gleason score? The effects of the anti-hormone shots may make him feel "sicker". Wish i could be more helpful, your question leaves a lot out.

Needs treatment: Even aggressive prostate cancer can be treated. The mainstay of treatment usually includes injection of hormones to suppress hormone production which is very effective. Supportive care should also be used an an adjunct.
