how do i care for bruised ribs?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Jeffrey Sider

Rest, meds: There is not much you can do for bruised ribs you will need to rest until symptoms resolve and nsaids may help. Its good to get an xray to make sure you don't have a fracture which will obviously take 6-8 weeks to heal.
