Prevent them.: It's much better to prevent, than to "cope" with panic. Effective treatment exists. I suggest you sort this out further with a mental health expert. It's tough to get through your day when you have a panic attack to dread that night.

Relaxation breathing: If you want to avoid medication for your panic attacks, i highly revommend the book: the relaxation response by benson. Read the entire book, the start doing the exercises as contained in the book. Start with 5 minutes twice a day working up to 10 minutes twice a day. You will soon learn to relax instantly, anytime you want or need to, like in the bed. It's not hard. Good luck.
