Not clear: This is a complicated situation. First of all, is the 25 weeks the gestational age, or the chronologic age? If the gestation was 25 wks and there is cerebral atrophy, there are still a range of outcomes. Even with being born severely early, and having abnormal findings on imaging of the brain, babies can grow up to have normal thinking and movement. I would do all you can for a good outcome.
