No: Myopia means that light comes to a focus in front of the retina. Astigmatism means light in comes to multiple focal points rather than one. It is possible to have either condition in isolation or both together.

No: Astigmatism is a separate issue in which the cornea is somewhat oval and the correction is a reverse oval in the glasses or contacts. You ophthalmologist can show you the two issues on your latest refractive prescription.
