Emergency sigs for a failing heart?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lots: Gradual onset of generalized weakness, or lethargy (especially in the elderly), fainting, shortness of breath, swelling of both legs, trouble breathing while lying down, waking up coughing to get breath all are signs of heart failure, and can be caused by many things. If these symptoms and signs develop suddenly, or are accompanied by chest pain, heart failure may be due to a heart attack.
