Ipecac: It is no longer recommended to use ipecac for any overdose or ingestion because of the complication of aspiration into the lungs and also because of bad cariac side effects.

Ipecac: use is no longer being recommended for home treatment of toxic ingestions. Many physician also recommend against soda use. Regularly drinking soda has been linked to Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, Diabetes, heart disease & metabolic syndrome. Other possible risks include: increased weight, decreased bone mineral density (BMD) obesity, erosion of tooth enamel, mineral depletion & dehydration
