How safe is accutane?

Pretty safe: Accutane has some issues, especially birth defects if taken while pregnant, but most of the other popularized "dangers" are significantly overblown. Still, it must be prescribed by a doctor with experience in its use, and you must join a registry (ipledge) as an added precaution against pregnancy.
