A member asked:

I have a swollen occipital lymph node && i am breast feeding, should i stop until whatever my problem is, is under control?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Breastfeeding and ad: Having a swollen node in the occipital area, lymphadenitis is not a contra-indication to breastfeeding. If you have other symptoms that indicates a severe infection, or you are placed on an antibiotic that is unsafe for the baby and you have consulted with your physician, you may want to pump and dump. You should resume breastfeeding asap, meaning as soon as you feel better.
