I was diagnosed with colitis and have been having left side pain it's not severe but it still hurts what should i do? it's been almost a month already

Call your doc: Getting meds? What kind? What dose? Other symptoms, like bleeding? Diarrhea? Fever? Etc.? You need a follow up visit with your GI doc. Meds may take some time to work. May need to adjust them, or dosing, etc.? Crohn's?-don't smoke!-makes it worse, undoes the good effects of the meds.
