Same as everywhere: Eliminate juices, sodas, or other sweet drinks. Drink water. Don't eat fried foods (chicken nuggets, french fries etc). Watch the sugar content in cereals and snacks. Serve few starches, including breads, pastas, and (white) grains. Add more vegetables and fruits, but not too many fruits because of all the sugar they contain. In short, eat an organic, whole grain, no added sugar diet.

Veg, fruits, nuts: A healthy diet consists of mostly plant based including green leafy vegetables and all different colors of fruits and vegetables. The majority of these should be raw as in a salad or lightly steamed. Meat should consist of lean chicken, turkey, fish, and occasionally very lean beef or pork. Snacks should be fruits, tree nuts, and whole grains. Go light on the carbs and only whole grains. No sugar.
