A member asked:

Is it normal to get angry at your therapist?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Absolutely: If your therapist is good and is pointing out important issues you may not want to face, it may evoke anger in you. Also, often a therapist will remind you of someone in your past who made you angry. This is called 'transference'. This often causes one to feel angry with their therapist. A good therapy process involves many emotions all of which are important.
