Get it checked.: A healing surgical wound can appear red as it heals. A surgical site infection (ssi) is a potentially serious complication and will set back wound healing. Symptoms and signs are pain, fever, redness, swelling, drainage of fluid, and heat at the surgical site. I recommend getting it checked & followed by the surgeon as soon as you can.

7 months after Achilles surgery and bad infections my foot is swollen, painful and hot. Reduced swelling by ice and elevation. Should i be worried?
