Healthy diet : There is no particular supplement or medication that has been shown to promote ligament healing. That being said, a healthy diet focused on lean and low fat protein sources, plenty of fruits and vegetables and sufficient amounts if water should put your body in the best environment to heal.

Controversial: There is considerable debate over whether glucosamine works at all. I believe that it does help repair cartilage if taken at a dose of 1500 mg of glucosamine per day. The chondroitin probably does not help. There is almost no evidence that it helps torn ligaments.
