'silent' migraine: It is not clear what you mean by 'silent'. If you mean no pain, but some symptom, like visual scintillating scotoma or localized tingling or numbness, then the best approach is to learn what kinds of triggers you have. SILENT MIGRAINES: There are multiple good treatments for silent migraines. Aside from triptans, a lot of the new aed's (anti-convulsants) are safe and effective for prophylaxis of these headaches, some are used off label by neurologists.
