Usually 4-72 hours: Typical episodic migraine lasts from hours to several days. However episodic migraine can turn into CHRONIC MIGRAINE (transformed migraine) in many patients. Chronic migraine is characterized by headaches more than 15 days a month with at least 8 of the headaches having migrainous symptoms. Often other conditions are present: anxiety, depression, panic, fibromyalgia and sleep disorders
