Lactose intolerance: Yogurt is a a milk product. If you have developed lactose intolerance as many adults do, then you can't digest the milk in the yogurt the way you can digest other food. Undigested food can lead to gas and diarrhea. Give up the yogurt for a while and see if the problem stops. If not, call your doctor.
