Do blind people not get any light into their eyes or is everything just very very blurry?

Depends: Depends on what you mean by blind. Complete blindness means no perception of light (even if light does enter the eye). Legally blind can mean you can still see, but no better than 20/400 and less than 20 degrees of peripheral vision.
