What treatment is given for brain haemorrhage?

Cause dependant: Treatment of hemorrhage is cause dependant, hypertensive hemorrhages are almost always treated medically, with BP control & seizure prophylaxis, if needed. Subarachnoid hemorrhage from an aneurysm is typically coiled or surgically clipped. Large traumatic hemorrhages, epidural and subdural hemorrhages need surgical evacuation. Hemorrhages associated with tumors are unique and tumor dependant.

Depends on cause: A subarachnoid hemorrhage may be due to a ruptured aneurysm. Subdural hematoma or epidural hematoma, may be caused by trauma. Mostly, surgery necessary for these. An intracerebral bleed may be associated with hypertension and/or stroke from thromboembolism, or in the elderly amyloid deposition. These more often are treated medically.. All are relative emergencies.
