A 48-year-old member asked:

Is there a way to continue smoking weed and get rid of the paranoia?

Dr. Byron Law-Yone
Psychiatry 56 years experience
Depends...: If your paranoia is caused by smoking weed then smoking more of the stuff is likely to increase the paranoia. If the paranoia is a separate psychiatric disorder you may need medication treatment for this. Smoking weed is a risk factor for developing psychosis. Regardless, if you have paranoia seek professional help, this can be a very disabling condition left untreated.
