Kidney stone/spasm: A non-obstructive stone in the kidney wil not cause voiding dysfunction. Typically, however, as a stone progresses down the uretermore symptoms will be manifested in the bladder or genitals (pain vs frequency).

Rare: Kidney stones are usually asymptomatic (no symptoms). Once they drop into the ureter, pain, voiding dysfunction, etc may ensue.
