There are many: Dementia can be thought of as a cognitive disorder or as a behavioral illness. Nearly everyone with dementia will have behavior problems at some time. Psychomotor agitation, anxiety, sleep disturbances, appetite disturbances, depression, paranoia/delusions, hallucinations, aggression, mood lability, and apathy are some of the most common symptoms. Most of these symptoms are treatable.
