A member asked:

How long into illness does a person with vascular dementia suffer from regressive behavior (return to childlike attitude)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It may not happen.: My father suffered from vascular dementia and was in a nursing home for many years and never had these symptoms. What is interesting about vascular dementia ia that it is intermittent. One day a person is fine and clear as a bell and the next he doesn't recognize you. A day latter the reverse.
