How many visits, to get your ingrown toenails removed?

Usually one: If you have a ingrown nail that is infected i usually remove the offending part of the nail on the first visit. I often will do a procedure to kill the nail root(matrix area) if this problem returns a second time.

Typically one for: The surgical procedure and a few followup visits to monitor healing.

Depends...: Usually one. Sometimes you have to go back if there is more debris in there. Even the smallest piece of skin or nail can cause discomfort

Single visit: A podiatrist will remove the ingrown portion of the nail in a single visit and may prescribe a topical or oral medication to treat the infection.
