Usually one: If you have a ingrown nail that is infected i usually remove the offending part of the nail on the first visit. I often will do a procedure to kill the nail root(matrix area) if this problem returns a second time.

Depends...: Usually one. Sometimes you have to go back if there is more debris in there. Even the smallest piece of skin or nail can cause discomfort
