Stop It: I would recommend talking to your doctor first before getting off of an antidepressant. However, Prozac (fluoxetine) has a very long half-life (how quickly it gets out of your system) so if you quit it cold turkey, it will take about a month to get completely out of your system and should not cause any withdrawal symptoms.

Prozac (fluoxetine): A slow, steady decrease in dosage, as per your doctor's orders, is the best way to stop using prozac (fluoxetine).
