What is the difference between an interventional cardiologist and a regular cardiologist?

Differences: Both are trained in cardiology. Both usually performed the standard procedures like echo, holter, and cardiac cath for diagnostic purposes. An interventional cardiologist also goes on to further training to do procedures such as angioplasty/stent placement, peripheral stent placement, asd/vsd closures.
