If i have lockjaw and then get the vaccine after will it go away?

Tetanus: The treatment of tetanus involves antibiotics, antitoxin, & many times, sedation and intensive care. Administration of a tetanus shot after the fact does not make it go away. The illness would give you protective antibodies for many years, but these would fade in time & you could get tetanus again unless you keep up with your vaccine status.
