Ask your surgeon: Every surgeon has their own restrictions but generally speaking. You should avoid lifting anything greater than about 20 pounds for about a month. (at least that's i what i do...).

Depends: How long ago was the surgery? Open or laparoscopic surgery? Usually no heavy lifting for 4-6 weeks after surgery, then there should be no further restrictions on lifting or activities. Be sure to check with your surgeon before doing heavy activities.

Ask your surgeon. : I tell my patients not to lift more than 20 lbs for 3 weeks. It is advisable to avoid very heavy lifting for six weeks.
