Prematurity: A study just reported a sharp increase in premature births if mom smokes mj. These 3000 mom's were followed for 8 years, so the study has robust statistics. Exposing an older child to mj means you're smoking in front of them, which means you are teaching your children to be drug users. Not a good idea.

Same as tobacco +: We see a higher risk of crib death in early infancy & more ear and other respiratory infections in childhood.The data is not clear on any long term effect on learning or development.
