No: You will probably burn the skin in your mouth before you damage the teeth. If you have gum recession the teeth may be a little sensitive to hot things, but more realistically to cold. Long lasting pain due to hot foods is more an indication that you have a bad cavity and may need a root canal.

Just Heat, No: Just heat will not seriously damage your teeth but if it is acidic or sugar loaded then yes it can cause damage. Besides you can only handle so much heat before you burn your gums.
